Hi, I'm Katerina

I got my B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley and spent two years working at Zymergen, a start-up in the biotechnology space. Here, I found a love for programming while I used automation and software to help solve problems in the Agricultural space.
I got my fundamentals by going to HackBright Academy's full-stack web development bootcamp during weeknights and weekends. Here, I developed and deployed my first full-stack web application using a PostgreSQL database, Flask app server, and a React front end. Check out the project repo here!
After graduating, I had a brief stint working as a Solutions Engineer at Datadog. Here, I learned how to serve techinical customers and became exposed to the joys and struggles of DevOps.
I also volunteered as a Developer to ShelterTechSF. The organization works to help connect individuals experiencing homelessness to resources in the SF area. (Please reach out if you are interested in volunteering!)
Then, I worked for four years as a back-end engineer on the Platform team at CarGurus within the Autolist brand. I spent my time interfacing with stakeholders while building & designing APIs, internal systems, and infrastructure on demand.
Today, I am a full-stack senior software engineer at Parachute Health. Here, I am currently a Tech Lead for a Clinical-focused team. (If you are interested in any roles here, pleade feel free to reach out!)
